On the subject of Dust/Eve integration: I can locate a Dust merc via the ppl/places search function...then what? Can I write a contract to them? Not as far as I can tell. I'd like to be able to give my friends a leg up on the competition--send them a few ISK, or maybe a skillbook or two. NOPE!!! Maybe if I go to the station I could trade with them? (IDK, I've yet to try, but I'm guessing) NOPE!!! Can I even access the Dust marketplace? Can they trade like I can? Can they train up anything from the corporation skill tree? Looks like someone built a wall in my sandbox. It needs to come down ASAP! Some ideas: Expand the skills available to Dust Mercs. Let them build stuff. Let them do invention. Let them write/receive contracts. Let them trade. Let me trade their stuff. Let them trade ours. Passive income sources like this would go a long way in mitigating the cost of supplies addressed by Tiana. Produce maps for worlds other than temperate types. No gas giant maps is understandable, but no barren or ice worlds? For real? Aiming high, lava and plasma worlds would be something visually striking to work on. Understand this CCP. The console market is competitive. You need to redouble your efforts if you want to succeeed in it. Can Dust players expect a new expansion every six months like we can? It's a promise you might want to think about making. You need to engage the playerbase of that game the same way you engage us. Let them know that there might be rough spots, but you plan on iterating, on improving, and on listening to (and responding to) player concerns. I know it's a tall order, but I'm not the one who decided to do Incarna, WOD, and a console shooter at the same time. Did Iceland just start getting ******* or something? Because it's like you just discovered it and let your mouth go off writing a bunch of checks your ass can't cash. Oh yeah. Just because you stopped talking about WiS or WOD doesn't mean I've forgotten about them. I'd really like to think that CCP has changed, that you quit starting things and leaving them in the dumpster like so many prom night surprise babies. Don't get me wrong--the ship rebalancing and tiericide things are beyond awesome. Just don't forget that in life, like in golf or baseball, it's about the follow-through. Don't let Dust become another Incarna--some half-assed attempt at something cool that turned out to be over your head. You started it. Now finish it. |
